I was so happy to FINALLY get the opportunity to photograph baby Ayden! His mom, L, has been trying to get on our books since he was 6 weeks old, but I was unable to take them until the new studio was done. After the world's longest game of telephone tag I got this beautiful family in for a "newborn" session. This little family has some great things in store for them this year, and I couldn't be happier for them! Here are a few favorite images to share:

Happy Valentines Day!
Don't you wish your kid's Valentine's Day card was as cute as mine? Seriously though, don't let me kid you. Nothing frustrates me like taking my own childrens' pictures! I have such high expectations for what they should do and I am always disappointed. My kids do not find me to be interesting and novel like my client's (kids) do. They see me walking around with "the black box" all the time--big deal. So, I am just happy to get a profile of my lovely boys, because I can just fuggettabout getting a nice head on portrait!
Hope you have some romance in your day--or at least a warm hug and snotty kiss from your babies! (romance is overrated!)

Sweet, sweet baby (and momma)
I had the utter pleasure of photographing Jackie M. and husband Raymond, and little Callen Faith in utero this week. It's been awhile since I have had a maternity shoot, and was armed with tons of ideas in my new studio. Jackie totally indulged me and I ended up taking pictures for a solid two hours! (Raymond was a huge sweetie and so patient with me)Jackie was radiant--a beautiful pregnant woman with a gorgeous head of hair! (I'm jealous)
I absolutely love doing maternity sessions and wish I could encourage more women to document this wonderful time of thier life. So many women I talk to tell me the same thing: "I would love to do maternity pictures, but I just hate my stretch marks!" Please don't let this stop you! Jackie is living proof of the wonderful things I can do for you with my magic computer!
Thank you so much Jackie & Raymond and I can't wait to meet your little miracle!
Here is what my mad CS3 skills can do for you:

I love the dramatic lighting I used in this image:
I love how the lighting in this image looks like God's light touching her face and belly:

Happy Birthday to my baby!

Yesterday we celebrated Anderson's first birthday! I am so proud of him--he has endured a lot in his first year and is still such a sweet little man. I was so excited to photograph him in the BRAND NEW STUDIO! He was my first "client" to enjoy our new surroundings. Enjoy my cutie's birthday session! These are some of my favorites that show his goofy personality.

Walter & Emily Ocampo
The Friday before the National Championship, there was yet another reason to celebrate in New Orleans: the marriage of Emily Vix to Walter Ocampo! Emily's mom, Karen, learned about me in the most random of ways, (eavesdropped conversation-lol) but I just love her wonderful tribe of women! They are a pleasure to work with and a ton of fun! The wedding took place at the beautiful and historic St. John the Baptist(the big brown brick church that sits just to the right of the Carondelet/St. Charles Ave. exit). Everyone at the reception had a blast and a great night was rounded off by a good old fashioned second line. Thanks for letting me be a part of your big day! Here's what Mrs. Karen had to say: "Just wanted to say thanks for doing such a great job with us for the wedding...I just wanted to say thanks again for sharing in Emily's special day and we consider you a friend of ours. I look forward to having the opportunity to have you take other pictures for us in the future."

Katie & Clint Casanova!
Katie Scott finally became the beautiful bride of Clint Casanova on December 29, 2007 in an incredible ceremony that I was so honored to be a part of. I was really excited about this wedding for a number of reasons: the Scott's have become great friends of our little family and the details and wedding themes were amazing! Let me just tell you--nothing was overlooked! From the teardrop crystals hanging from the flocked trees, to the gorgeous candelabras gracing the altar (which were handmade by the father of the bride!), to the little flowergirls coordinating, yet opposite dresses--it was amazing! Clint and Katie are a great couple and we just think the world of them. Thier marriage is built on a solid foundation that will last a lifetime!
